Truck Thieves Caught Making Not-So-Quick Getaway
Two men were apprehended and two more are being sought in Jefferson County, Arkansas, after Cpl. Andy Hoots saw three men pushing and a fourth man steering a pickup truck bearing a county decal.
The truck had been parked across from the Jefferson County adult detention center and was non-operational. It was being kept for parts and valued at over $500.
Matthew Dillard and Matthew Jordan were arrested after a brief chase. Both have charges pending from a 2008 arrest for ‘attempted commercial burglary and criminal mischief’.
No details were available concerning their 2008 criminal escapade, but I wonder if it involved trying to steal cars sitting on cinderblocks from a junk yard or something. Perhaps their attempt to steal a vehicle that would actually roll, even if the engine wouldn’t run, is just a sign of evolving criminal genius.
Who knows, next time they might try to steal a vehicle that works!
Muhuhuhahahahahaha!
