Secrets Are Safe On Twitter, Right?

Congressional Quarterly reported Friday that Representative Pete Hoekstra, R-Mich., was Twittering away details about a secret trip to Iraq – while he was on it.

Rafe Needleman, of Cnet.com, points out that Rep. Hoekstra is the Ranking Member of the House Intelligence Committee.

I think someone needs to let Rep. Hoekstra know that Twitter isn’t a secure channel.

I’d also like to see what definition is being used by that committee for “secret“.
