Joe Biden Demonstrates the Proper Reaction to Swine Flu

President Obama seems to run a very tight ship.

Everyone stays on target with the administration’s messages (the occasional ‘Opps’ moment, like Janet Napolitano’s DHS warning about the subversive elements of American society, like for instance veterans, not withstanding).

Everyone stays on target, that is, except Vice President Joe Biden.

Ramblin’ Joe speaks his mind.

Well, sometimes, he just speaks.

Like yesterday, for instance.

Here is is on the Today show, talking with Matt Lauer.  Matt asks what Veep Biden would say to a friend or family member who asks if it is safe to fly a commercial airliner to Mexico.  Biden says he would advise not using commercial airlines, mass transit, or even schools, in direct contradiction to the message that the administration has been trying to push since the media started 24×7 coverage of the swine flu epidemic (‘CNN: Swine Flu Pandemic 2009… brought to you by Mercedes!’).

So, I guess in addition to the Pork Industry bailout that surely will arise from everyone avoiding bacon because of the fear of catching ‘Swine Flu’ (opps, now we are supposed to call it H1N1), the airline industry will be lining up for their bailout for the damage caused by Veep Biden?
