I guess the real problem is that Madame Senator Boxer doesn’t understand how condescending she can sound.

People who are right about everything, even when they are absolutely wrong, usually have too much ego to know when they are being an ass.

With politicians, it is doubly bad… many of them seem be morally flexible when it comes to being ‘creative’ with the truth (maybe because so many of them are lawyers?), so I can never tell if they are saying what they are saying because they are too stupid to know better or if they are saying what they are saying because they are just plain lying.
